Read This Before You Accept Your NYSC PPA

If you Read This Before You Accept Your NYSC PPA, you will really enjoy your place of primary assignment. This is a warning to all new corp members who want to have peace of mind and enjoy the next 11 Months of their NYSC service at their different Place of Primary Assignment (PPA). So many people take advantage of Corp Members to achieve the end goal of their companies. In order not to be used like slaves and cleaning rags by anybody, all in the name of serving your father land, you need to read this

Let me give you a picture of what it’s like to be a New Corper. In other words, here is something obvious and common among new corpers:

They are always too anxious to get to their NYSC PPA (Place of Primary Assignment) and get accepted so they could return home quickly. Even though they complain of staying at home during the postponement and delay of the date for the camp.

Perhaps to show their new Kaki to their parents. Or maybe to slay people around the street. Just calm down, you should Read This Before You Accept Your NYSC PPA

Nevertheless, you are not alone in that, I felt the same urge too. Just as everybody else. It’s normal. It’s not a crime.

NOTE: Most NYSC PPA is good and can be so kind. And remember you will not be the first Corper there. Am sure some are serving at present in that Same place. You can click here to read about how you can change your NYSC PPA

But please, before you accept that PPA you are being posted to, note the following:

Read This Before You Accept Your NYSC PPA

1. Don’t be Anxious
Don’t be too anxious to get or accept any PPA. There is always enough time.

Believe me, the waiting is worth it.

Don’t be too anxious and frustrated that you will jump on a marketing place where you have to be hawking and walking around to get people to buy a product or whatever. You are better than that.

Don’t be like many corp members, who in the name of frustration for a PPA quickly, accepted Pry schools and ended up being treated like Nannies, baby-sitting and cleaning the mess of kindergarten pupils.

2. Good Accommodation
I will not lie about this. Most NYSC PPA does not have conducive accommodation for all the Corp members posted under them due to facilities, too much crowd, and others. On several occasions, you will have to get accommodation for yourself. Here is a good article to help you with that. See also:  10 Tips For Renting An Apartment As A Corper

Some NYSC PPA might provide an accommodation and you might not like it for privacy or other reasons.

Do not have it in mind that Every NYSC PPA will provide you with accommodation. It’s luck sometimes.

There might be many reasons you want to look for an accommodation by yourself:

Privacy
Electricity
Network
Location
Conducive part
Environment
…name it…… and more

3. Your Free Day Must Be Allowed
You have the privilege to a day of every week, in which you are not expected to be at your PPA at all (usually your CDS day). Your PPA must be ready to give you this day fully. Not expected to work for a few hours on the same day.

It’s a work-free day for you. You Boss might push you by asking, but you have to state it that CDS days are off.

4. Local Allowance
That’s the allowance (money) the PPA will pay you at the end of every month. This should not be less than #5000, but can be more.

Let them know you don’t like to be owed also because many employers are fond of that. You don’t have to be rude about that. You just have to make your point clear. The #19,800 alone cannot be enough.

5. Work Load
Don’t let them overwork you. You are not expected to teach more than two subjects if you are in a school.

But sometimes out of compassion, you can take more if you can handle it. I took over 6 subjects during mine. I love teaching, I love those students and just have to help. But you might not be like me.

Know your limit and make it clear. Thats why this Read This Before You Accept Your NYSC PPA is important.

6. Gather Information
Gather information from the existing corpers and workers in the organization to know how the management has been dealing with their workers. By this, you will be able to tell if they will be able to keep their promises to you or not.

7. Rules and Regulations
This might apply to every PPA, however, some NYSC PPA does have some rules that you might not be able to abide with. This is common among Mission schools and some organizations.

There are some places they will tell you that’s you can’t wear this, you can’t do this, a male should not come to visit, this, that’s and bla bla bla….

Some organization will tell you to put on tight clothes, mini skirts to promote their product and bring customers. If it’s okay by you, tell them and if otherwise, tell them to reject you.

So you might need to ask existing corpers stylishly if they have any funny rules here.

They will issue you an acceptance latter after all agreement. And you will take the letter to your ZI.

Then you can now go home and come back after the stipulated day.

Do not be too anxious, this is where you will spend the rest of your 11 months. You are not meant to endure, you are meant to enjoy.

Corpers Forum cares about your service year, we Care about you. And you are too important not to enjoy this 11 months.

COZA: Ese Walter Speaks Again, Reveals What Really Happen Between Her And Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo

Ese Walter has shut down reports on social media that she was raped by the Senior Pastor of COZA, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo.

4. Please, be conscious of your travel time. Journeys must be arranged in such a way that you arrive your destination latest 6 pm. Note that if it’s not possible to arrive your destination at the aforesaid time, please, break the journey.

5. Avoid unnecessary argument/discussion bordering on politics and religion, among others. You may unwittingly cause offence. Keep your views to yourself.

6. Be courteous, but don’t trust people too quickly and don’t be loud while answering telephone calls, so as not to unknowingly divulge information that may place you on harm’s way.

7. Watch your drinking habit. Alcohol dulls your senses. Always be sober.

8. Take only what you need for the journey. Don’t over burden yourself with load.

9. Dress normal. Don’t overdress. Conversely, don’t dress shabbily, since either way, you unduly stand out.

10. Please, keep a very close watch over your personal effects. It is advisable that you carry your vital documents (certificates, International passport etc) on you.

11. Don’t put valuables in your back pocket for that’s always the pickpocket’s first point of call. It’s safer to use your front pocket.

NYSC Redeployment Letter Sample – Pictures

NYSC Redeployment Letter Sample is a very good guide for Corps members so as to know and have an idea of how the letter will look like and also the content that will be on it. It will be my very please to show you some NYSC redeployment letter sample that will be useful for you. If you have been looking around online about NYSC redeployment letter sample or you have been asking yourself, how will you write the letter, your search ends here.

Let’s talk briefly about NYSC relocation and redeployment. I will talk about it briefly here because my purpose is to show you the NYSC redeployment letter sample. If you want to read more about the NYSC portal relocation, this article will tell you all you need to know.

ON Relocation
Relocation and redeployment of corp members is a thing that is open to any corp member that is willing to take it. NYSC has made it in such a way that if any prospective corp member has genuine reasons why he/she should not serve in the state they have been posted to, such corper has the right to request for a change of state. And that’s exactly what is called “NYSC Redeployment/Relocation“. But mind you, such reasons must be genuine and reasonable.

The original intention for the creation of NYSC is that youths may move out entirely from their cultural environment to mix with people of other cultural heritage. But youths of today want to serve in their own desired state. Therefore they are now found of forming different lies and assumptions. Because of this, NYSC had made redeployment possible only on 3 conditions.

Medical Ground
If as a corp member, you are having a medical problem that could pose a threat to your life in the environment you have been posted, you have the right to apply for redeployment based on the medical ground. But the medical issues must be reasonable and to some extent, life-threatening before your application can be considered. “You can not say you don’t want to be posted to the north because you do have menstrual pain”. Nobody will listen to you. And mind you, you are still going to face an interview before the approval of your application.

Marital Ground
This option is only available for married female corpers who are willing to be redeployed to the sate where their husband and family resides. Before you can be considered on the marital ground, you must provide the following:

Your marriage certificate
Evidence of change of name in any of the National Newspapers
A letter from your husband’s office to prove that he really resides there and work there.
A hand-written application letter (you are going to see a sample of this at the end of this post)
A relocation form which is going to be given to you on camp
Security Ground
Some states are presently facing serious security challenges. Therefore, NYSC had made a provision for any corp member who wants to be excluded from serving in such states. States like Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Gombe and some of the northern states are real danger zones for corp members. Those states presently not save for corp members to serve because of the Boko-haram insurgency. Any corper serving there are doing so at their own risk.

The only requirement to apply for relocation in such case is filling the relocation form. If you refuse to fill the relocation form when others are doing so, you will definitely not be relocated; you will have to serve in the state.

How To Apply
For you to be considered for relocation, you must have filled and submitted the relocation form and attach the required documents to it. This form will be given to any interested corp member that requested for it (that is some days after everyone is through with their registrations). It will be announced anyway. So you have to be attentive and alert to know when it will be available for collection. Because if you fail to fill the form, then relocation is a “NO” for you.

Now you have an idea of what NYSC relocation is, let me show you the NYSC redeployment letter sample.
